Symphonicity DESTINATION: VIRGINIA

May 5 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$27

You’re going to “Love” this tribute to our state including a Virginia Beach premiere composed for Fairfax, VA by world-renowned composer, Mark Camphouse! Appearing by way of Symphonicity’s new partnership with the Curtis Institute, pianist Michael Davidman will offer a tribute to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Gershwin’s famous rhapsody. Then with a nod to our world-class waterfront, the season will close in a huge splash with “La mer” by Debussy.

A special finale will include a community sing-along of  “Our Great Virginia” next to the iconic “LOVE” artwork positioned just outside of the concert hall. The Mayor of Virginia Beach is expected to open the event with remarks.

Also, arrive by 2PM for a taste of local flare then jump into a pre-concert discussion with the Maestro at 2:30PM. Visit YnotTix.comSymphonicity’s website or Symphonicity’s Facebook page to purchase tickets. Military, student and group (10+) discounted tickets as low as $10 each are only available via the Sandler Center Box Office.
