The 2019 Commemoration, American Evolution has partnered with Richmond’s Fire, Flour and Fork, named one of the top 3 food festivals in the nation by USAToday, for Sampling the Centuries: Virginia’s Food Firsts. Enjoy a bountiful journey from the 1600s into the future, all in one night.
Sample signature dishes from culinary icons — past and present — ciders, beers, wines and spirits representative of each century with a present-day twist. Celebrate Virginia’s foodways and look to the future through its past as you taste recipes influenced by Native American and African cultures. More than 20 chefs and beverage experts from throughout Virginia will share their craft during this unforgettable evening. Confirmed chefs will be announced August 1, 2019.
In a separate ticketed VIP pre-event at 6 pm, meet a well-known national chef during a book signing, and learn of their love of Virginia purveyors and farmers.
Tickets will be on sale through the Fire, Flour and Fork website beginning August 15, 2019.
