America’s premier tourism organization, the American Bus Association, named the annual Virginia International Tattoo one of the “Best Top 100 Events in North America.” Produced annually by the Virginia Arts Festival, the Tattoo is the largest in the United States, drawing an annual audience of over 40,000 people. Each year’s Tattoo brings a new theme and new performers that offer an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed bands, pipes and drums, show-stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, a spectacular massed chorus, and much more. A signature event of American Evolution in 2019, the Virginia International Tattoo honored the accomplishments of women with an extraordinary cast of more than 1,000 performers from around the world including Switzerland’s Central Army Band, the Army Band of France, the OzScot Australia Highland Dancers, and pipe and drum corps from the United Kingdom and Canada. Smithfield Foods generously supported this commemoration signature event.
