An evening with Condoleezza Rice and Philip Zelikow was organized by the University of Virginia Miller Center and supported by the 2019 Commemoration to discuss the authors’ new book, To Build a Better World: Choices to End the Cold War and Create a Global Commonwealth. Condoleezza Rice was the 66th U.S. Secretary of State and Philip Zelikow is the White Burkett Miller Professor of History and the J. Wilson Newman Professor of Governance at the Miller Center. Ann Compton, a White House correspondent for ABC News for more than 40 years, moderated the event.
